The Holiday Sale is upon us. As with the Summer Sale, there's holiday specific achievements that get you free stuff and obviously a ton of games and catalogs going on sale. Supposedly you can get free games for getting the achievements so the stakes have been raised.

OK, I was using the new version of steam. It seems pretty good. The browser isn't complete crap anymore in-game, but it doesn't have tabs either.
