I sense pay-to-play DLC and no mod support in the future!

The sooner you lower your expectations the sooner they will be exceeded.

Well, they haven't murdered their audience yet... Maybe roughed them up a bit with this but I doubt too many people who are going to buy it care about mods.

I'd still take 18 player dedicated servers vs 18 player peer-to-peer servers. With or without mods.

It sounds possible that they might allow unranked servers to have more than 18 too, which would be cool with me. In fact, it seems rather smart especially if they design all their maps for 10 players like MW2 did ><

Well I really didn't like the cramped maps in the first place. It makes for a bad game when everyone spawns right next to you or every corner you go around, there's at least 1 person there...

You end up being dead more often than you're alive most of the time...

Maybe you die a lot...

I don't like them only because if your team sucks then it's an auto-magical loss. In COD4 and even BC2 to some extent, the maps are just big enough that if you're good enough you can sneak away from your team and cause enough damage to win or at least make it a respectable game. As myself and Redtide have demonstrated bazillions of times.

Yeah, and it's not necessarily the size of the map either. The design can make the difference like Strike for instance. Strike really isn't that big of a map but there are tons of avenues and buildings that keep the combat varied and allow maneuvering. With MW2, nearly all the city maps are built on 2 or 3 parallel streets with one or two perpendicular street running through. This makes for camping easy mode as you only have to worry about two entrances and the vast majority of players will just go to the closest one they spawn near. Treyarch showed with the map packs for W@W that they can make some good maps it they put much effort into it unlike the majority of maps that launched with the game.

Yeah, that's part of the problem. On one of the more popular maps (I don't remember or care about the name), every time you'd cross infront of the street that ran down the center, some sniper was sitting there and would shoot you... And, seeing as how everything was so badly balanced, he'd kill you in one shot with his intervention, or he'd just keep jamming left click until you died.

I liked the interviewer.

"Everyone's kinda struggled with online gaming..."

You know... On consoles... Because PC gaming's had it down pretty well for quite a while...
