Notice who's top player over Jak's hero.

He's pretty bad.

Obviously not Redtide!

Now go record with Fraps and do that.

Sir got the early lead and I devoted myself to deferring points to him because he stood the best chance of getting top score. I almost passed Ravic towards the end but he got a ton of revives right towards the end.

Man, you guys do take stats too seriously.

YOU DON'T TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY ENOUGH!!!!!

In all honesty though, when you play as much as us there really isn't anything else to take seriously. There's no such thing as real competition in any pub match and there's no scrim scene for Squad Rush to get into so what do you expect?

Score is a measurement of getting things done and for the most part (recon excluded), accurately portrays how active and helpful you are to your team. I'd rather focus on that than complain about every little thing DICE has messed up and the crutches that have been in since Day 1.

Unrelated, I've been thinking a bit about recording but I don't have any time/will to learn editing so it would just be for my own amusement.

Simple edits are easy. I prefer good cuts with fading. I don't necessarily enjoy the flashy stuff.

You don't have to upload anything, but uploading one of your better games with a few cuts wouldn't be a bad idea. Or if youndo something out of the ordinary for a round.

Ravic has complained in the past but many of his videos are doing stuff like driving around in the jeep or smoking. There is plenty of broken stuff, but he obviously enjoys the game a lot with friends and wouldn't be playing anymore. I think he has reason to gripe with some of the bugs like the M26 dart glitch when a few numbers are the only the thing that need to be changed. At the least, they could role an update out almost immediately for PC (because consoles cost money).

You should participate in a match for more competition.

I don't pay much mind to stats. I do think about my K/D ratio, but only because I know I destroy it through impatience. I am the anti-sniper (even when I occasionally play sniper.) I can't stand to sit still and it costs me a few more deaths than my marginal skills would normally dictate.

When my clan played BF2 and BF2142, the general refrain after everyone else had recieved their orders was "ike, you go do what you do"...

I couldn't tell you one thing different in the game from one patch to the next except when they changed the hue or contrast or whatever. My buddy is howling mad about the helo getting nerfed more and more in each patch though...(?)

ruh-roh. My K/D is only .98 and my accuracy is under 15%. Was in the mid 20s in older games as I recall. I'll chalk that up to tighter hit boxes... LOL

Related, the way accuracy is displayed on battlelog recently changed. Before it showed the average of weapons AND vehicles for some reason. Now it correctly just shows infantry weapons.

Honestly, KDR isn't that important as long as you're close to 1. SPM I think is the most important stat because it gauges how active you are and, unless you play on Metro spam servers, is harder to maintain than something like KDR (which can be boosted easily by playing certain styles).

Accuracy is relative considering the wide varieties of maps available and different play styles between users. Also taking into account the variety of weapons available, accuracy doesn't mean much.

Wow, I hadn't even heard of this guy until now: RivalXfactor.
1000 Score / min. I've been subscribed to Ravic this whole time, and his buddy, Xfactor, has 30k subs.

Yeah I've watched some of his videos. He's a good player but he whines a ton (mostly about suppression) and he was one of the players perpetuating the hackusations against this one team a while back.

At least recent videos for Ravic haven't been whiny. I watched one video for Xfactor, and he complained about a couple things during the match. He went 38-3 (revived probably 10-12 times). This was one of his most recent videos, and he and another Rival guy got banned.

I don't know anything about the hackusations. I do know there are far worse people on Youtube who make 5-10 minute long videos about hackers, following them around and trying to point out every small thing a player does to support their belief a certain playing is hacking. I try and tell these people to at least spectate this player so we get a better idea of what they are doing or seeing, but they don't listen.

That's kind of how it went down with the FPVOD of the accused player. A bunch of nitpicking and then denial. The league ruled fair play but I'm still pretty doubtful.

So, he's whining for a reason? That's messed up if you have to cheat for a match.

There was never anything conclusive but the player in question controlled AEK recoil (which is fairly random horizontally) almost perfectly while jittering around. Video was shown that he aimed like that in past games (the jitter) but it looked like a macro resetting his mouse to the center rather than player shake.
