Despite what the thread says, the deal's still working. $40 for BL2 on GreenManGaming.

If you buy the 4-pack on Steam/Amazon, it would be $45 per person. Tempting but I'm good on games for now and I'm usually against pre-ordering games I haven't played a demo/beta for.

That goes for me as well. If they play it like Borderlands, there are going to be several DLC packs as well. It was definitely a good game for a console port, but I don't like supporting this sort of thing too much. I didn't buy Borderlands GOTY until it was $7.50 on Steam, which might be the time when I buy Borderlands 2.

You can use the code: PCGMR-ALLIN-GREEN with the current discount to get it for 37.50 from Green Man Gaming now. Gah so tempting.

GMG codes are being sent out. I got mine this morning and I'll start pre-loading when I get home.

I got Borderlands 2 for under $25. The bad news is I can't get to my bank's website, which is sort of lame.

Bummer on the bank issue. A shame the person(s) responsible have no idea that their actions have no effect on the who they're protesting.

Will you get all pre-order stuff or does it not have the premier club stuff?

Where did you get it for $25?

I got it for $25 (add the code for $1.25 off) here. There is another deal for $20, but my payment didn't go through. Thread 2

Both are Russian keys. Gearbox apparently got rid of the region locker.

You can get the Season Pass for $22.50. Here's the thread. Enter the code GMG25-EVFWS-4Z4ZN for the 25% off.

Since this has become the defacto news thread...

The 5th character class, Gaige the Mechromancer, is now released and available for everyone who got the premier edition (doubt you could find any regular copies yet anyways).

So who's all got Borderlands 2 now and what's the verdict on it? Do I need the game and the season pass?

Borderlands 2 makes a number of improvements over Borderlands 1. There are four classes like usual with new characters and altered special abilities except everything is better in the second game.

You obviously didn't preorder, so the Mechromancer will cost you $10 if you want that class. The Season Pass will cost $30 for all four DLCs. The game is $60.

I linked to a deal for the Season Pass on GreenMan Gaming. It's $22.50 with the code GMG25-EVFWS-4Z4ZN, though it might not work now. I bought got a Russian key for my game from a UK website. I already posted the links above.

I wasn't sure I was going to get the game immediately. I did and got it for $23.75, which is bad considering Steam is selling it for $60. There are going to be four DLCs. Undoubtedly there will be a GoTY edition which will include the Mechromancer class and all four DLCs for a better price. It's your call whether to buy now or not.

Edit: The GMG25-EVFWS-4Z4ZN code works at GMG for 25% off on any item. It didn't let me use it for multiple items at one time. Keep in my this will work for Season Pass, the Mechromancer class, or any other game on the GMG website.

Amazing game, recommended to anyone who likes shooters at all.

If you do get the game (I recommend waiting for sales from GreenManGaming),I would honestly hold off on the season pass until you've played the game a while. There's so much content just in the base game that it would probably take you quite some time before you were even ready for the DLC.

For the record, I have this game too, and I agree that it's great. The first game is still worth getting honestly, especially since you can probably get it on sale, but this game improves on it in every way.

I also second Redtide's point regarding the season pass, in that you can hold off on getting it until you've played the main game for a bit. It's already a long game, and it's very, very re-playable considering there are 4 characters to use (or 5 if you get the Mechromancer), 3 skill trees per character, and the game allows/encourages you to re-play the game a second time with the same character.
